Advertising the products and services is mandatory for achieving success and growth of a business. In this new technological era, the trends of advertising have turned to the Internet. Internet advertising is also being used by various Indian companies. A Biztech report stated the details of a survey conducted by various research companies in advertising industry. It was found that, as of 2010, the Indian Internet advertising revenue was $220 billions and it is estimated to reach $428 billion in 2011 with nearly double growth in Indian Internet advertising.
The global trend of Internet advertising is now sweeping across India and has become one of the more accepted and preferred advertising mediums by businesses and corporations. According to the Technology for Marketing and Advertising India, online advertising in the country is expected to grow with the fastest CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 29.6% within the next five years.
As per the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), in 2008-2009, not even one industry is interested to spend money on online text ads and most of the industries focused on online display ads. It was only since 2010 that all industries had started spending on online text ads. Many companies are also considering using online digital media for display advertising, as they are now seeing the potential of tapping into India’s Internet community as a viable market for products and services. Most of the business owners know that the Internet has now become an essential tool when it comes to running their business successfully.
