Facebook has nearly 28 million Indian active Internet users. And the number is growing rapidly day by day. As of 2011 beginning, there are 17.2 million Facebook users in India. The number has increased and recorded 28.5 million users in June 2011. There are 11.2 million users increased in just 6 months. Facebook has 135 brands and 13 categories from India. Tata Docomo with 2.5 million is the top brand in India in Facebook followed by Vodafone Zoozoos (2.13).
Many of the people are using Facebook for communicating with others, Chatting, Social gaming, Product reviews and more. According to the Social Baker, most of the people like many Indian places. Among recently launched Facebook places, Mumbai International Airport has occupied top position in terms of highest check-ins (2411). It was followed by Bangalore International Airport (2277), Mumbai Domestic Airport (2243), T3 Indira Gandhi International Airport – New Delhi (1306) etc.
